October is Pregnancy & Infant Loss Awareness Month

In 1988, President Ronald Reagan designated October as national Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month to bring light to an issue that affects so many people. Each year in the United States, approximately 1 million children die in utero or shortly after birth, making it 1 in 4 pregnancies that result in a loss.

Join us all month long as we take action to raise awareness and honor all of the babies gone too soon. We have put together an October 2025 PAIL month calendar with one activity for each day in October (click the link to pull up the full size calendar with clickable links). Items that have additional information are hyperlinked on the calendar. Consider participating in whichever ones are most meaningful to you or try and hit them all!

Please continue to spread the word! Share information about our organization with family, friends, neighbors, co-workers, anyone. When people start opening up about pregnancy loss, they are often surprised to find how many others they know who have been affected – you are not alone!

Thank you for speaking out & breaking the silence about pregnancy loss!
