This year’s Heartoberfest presented by Kelly Houseman Counseling features a casino night theme and online auction and gift card raffle with incredible items up for grabs and every dollar raised going straight toward supporting families who’ve experienced pregnancy loss.

Money raised through Heartoberfest directly funds Comfort Kits and the Wandering Angel Project, helping us provide comfort and care to grieving parents here in the Annapolis area and across the country.

How to Play Your Hand

The Heartoberfest auction opens Thursday, October 1 at 10 a.m. EST and closes Sunday, October 4 at 5 p.m. EST.

Before you place your first bid, here’s what you need to know:

♠️ 1. Register to Bid

You’ll need an account to place a bid.

We’re using the same auction platform as last year, so if you already have an account, you can simply log in. New to the auction? Click “Register to Bid” at the top of the main auction page.

When you place a bid, your first name and last initial will be visible on the auction page. No other identifying information will be displayed.

♥️ 2. Check the Details Before You Bet

Each auction listing includes important information about the item, including:

• Item value
• Participating location(s)
• Expiration date, if applicable
• Delivery method
• Redemption restrictions and other fine print
• Current bid

Be sure to read the entire listing before placing your bid! Some items have specific redemption or location requirements.

♦️ 3. Add a Payment Method

During registration, you’ll be asked to place a payment method on file for any items you win. You can use a credit/debit card or PayPal account.

You’ll also have the option to cover the fees associated with your purchase:

• 3% platform fee
• 2.9% + $0.30 processing fee

Thank you for choosing to cover these fees if you’re able! Every dollar we don’t have to spend on fees means more money goes toward supporting families experiencing pregnancy loss.

♣️ 4. Keep an Eye on Your Bids

Nobody likes finding out they’ve been outbid after the fact!

You’ll receive an email notification whenever you are outbid. You can also opt in to text notifications when you register.

Already registered but want to change your notification settings? You can opt in or out of text notifications at any time from your bidder account.

5. If You Win…

When the auction closes, winning bidders will be assigned and the payment method on file will be automatically charged.

If you elected to cover the auction fees, those will be processed at the same time. You’ll receive a final receipt by email showing your winning items and any covered fees.

Automatic payment makes things easier for everyone—and helps us get your items to you more quickly!

Getting Your Winnings

Shipping is included in the price of all auction items. If you’re local to the Annapolis area, we may also be able to hand-deliver your items.

All mailed items will be shipped within 14 business days of the auction closing.

If your item is being emailed to you, please check your spam or junk folder if you don’t see it arrive.

If your item is being mailed, please make sure your shipping address is current in your bidder account.

We’re sorry, but we are unable to ship internationally due to the cost.
